The Manchester United player appears to have no issues with his manager despite reports to the contrary.
Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has retweeted a message which clarifies his current situation at Old Trafford and his feelings towards manager Louis van Gaal.
The Argentine international has only featured twice for United so far this season after picking up an injury in pre-season training and then straining a thigh muscle in late September.
Rojo’s absence from United’s first-team squad led the Mirror to claim that van Gaal was prepared to sell the defender with Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg allegedly ready to make a January bid.
With United’s lack of defensive depth that would have been a considerable surprise, especially with Daley Blind currently playing out of position alongside Chris Smalling, and now it seems Rojo has moved to clarify the situation.
On Monday afternoon the 25-year-old retweeted a message from journalist Martin Arevalo that read, “Marcos Rojo did not recover from his injury. Clarification? He has no problem with van Gaal…”
The message came the day after Rojo missed United’s 3-0 defeat to Arsenal and the fact that the player himself has validated the comments speaks volumes.
Rojo was one of United’s standout players last season, showing guts and talent every time he stepped onto the pitch; and when he gets back to full fitness expect him to be challenging Blind for a starting spot…and ultimately winning.
Marcos Rojo no se recuperó del desgarro y por eso es baja. Aclaración? No tiene ningún problema con Van Gaal ni se está buscando club.— Martin Arevalo (@arevalo_martin) October 5, 2015
