Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Andros Townsend's performance against Swansea

Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 with Swansea City on Sunday but what did Spurs fans think of Andros Townsend's contribution?

Tottenham Hotspur played out a 2-2 draw with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday, with two goals from Christian Eriksen cancelling out an Andre Ayew strike and a Harry Kane own-goal.

The win means Tottenham head into the latest international break with 13 points from their first eight matches, and while fans and players alike will be disappointed not to take all three points back to North London, there was plenty to be positive about.

One thing to be a little less happy about was the performance of second-half substitute Andros Townsend, who seemed to be on a one-man mission to score the winning goal for Tottenham even when other, better, options were available to him.

Townsend came on in the 57th minute for Argentine international Erik Lamela, and by the time the full-time whistle blew, the 24-year-old’s cameo performance was generating plenty of chatter on social media.

After the match we took to Twitter to see what Tottenham fans thought of Townsend’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
