The South African would happily walk to the ring with the Leeds boxer.
Leeds United fans have a new sporting hero and he doesn’t play football. The man in question is Josh Warrington. The 24-year-old local lad is currently unbeaten in his professional career, with 22 wins from 22 fights and is the current European, WBC International and Commonwealth Featherweight Champion.
He has also fought at Elland Road and is very popular among the Leeds faithful
Warrington was recently asked who he would like to carry his belts out to the ring for his next fight, considering ex-Leeds players such as Dominic Matteo and Vinnie Jones have done so in the past.
His suggestion, whilst speaking on Sky Sports Soccer AM programme (12/09/2015), was universally popular:
"There's a few to be fair. But over the years if I could pick one it'd be Lucas Radebe, 'The Chief', I'd like to have him there.
"Lucas if you are out there, next fight, let's have you down there lad, we're Leeds aren't we."
Well last week, speaking on Soccer AM, Lucas Radebe made it clear he would love to walk Warrington into the ring for his next fight.
The South African legend then might get to walk down to the ring with Warrington for his next fight, which the boxing public will hope to be against Lee Selby in the coming months.
