Anthony Limbombe netted his first goal of the season for NEC Nijmegen.
Anthony Limbombe got his season back on track by scoring his first goal of 2015/16.
The NEC Nijmegen winger was linked with a move to Leeds United back in August, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting their interest.
The youngster's head was turned by Leeds' interest, with NEC Nijmegen dropping him as he was not sufficiently focused to feature.
The move did not go through, with the Whites deciding to sign Jordan Botaka from Eredivisie side Excelsior instead.
Limbombe has since ingratiated himself back with NEC's management, and at the weekend netted his first of the season.
He scored in a 4-1 win over ADO Den Haag, turning in a superb display, completing 93 per cent of his passes and testing the goalkeeper three times.
Leeds winger Botaka has made just one start since signing for the club, and it's impossible to say whether Limbombe would have settled any quicker, but his career appears to be back on track since the ups and downs of the transfer window.
