Everton and Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw in the Merseyside derby on Sunday afternoon.
The Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park ended in a 1-1 draw.
Danny Ings put the Reds in the lead in the 41st minute when he headed home James Milner’s cross from close range.
Romelu Lukaku restored parity for the Toffees on the stroke of half time, with neither side able to add to the score in the second period.
Over the course of the 90 minutes, hosts Everton had 51% of the possession, took 14 shots of which four were on target, and earned five corners.
Visiting Liverpool had 49% of the possession, took 13 shots of which four were on target, and earned 11 corners.
Following the draw, Everton duo Deulofeu and McCarthy took to Twitter to give their reaction to the final result.
