Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Emre Can’s performance for Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
Can started the Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park and played for the entire 90 minutes.
MacAnthony, who is the chairman of League One outfit Peterborough, was following the Premier League game, which ended in a 1-1 draw, and he was far from impressed with the performance of Germany international midfielder.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park, Can had a pass accuracy of 87%, put in one cross, attempted one dribble, won 50% of his tackles and 83% of his headers, and made four interceptions, six clearances and two blocks.
As a Liverpool fan, I'm not having that Can fella. Poor imo & consistently flatters to deceive. Big 45 mins for Brendan R. Come on boys..— Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) October 4, 2015
MacAnthony has also given his take on Liverpool’s decision to sack Brendan Rodgers as their manager on Sunday.
Bloody hell Brendan's been sacked. Hope the Liverpool owners sack the transfer committee as well. Real shame imo but wont be unemployed long— Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) October 4, 2015
Liverpool are 10th in the Premier League table with 12 points from eight matches, just three points behind fourth-place Crystal Palace.
