Leicester City ran out 2-1 winners at Carrow Road at the weekend, thanks to goals either side of half time from Jamie Vardy and Jeffrey Schlupp.
Speaking to Leicester City's official website after the victory in East Anglia, the Italian effused on Kante's work rate for the team, which he insists comes as no surprise to him given what the club saw in him during the summer.
“He was fantastic. He presses the ball non-stop. I think he even presses people in the stands!," Ranieri said.
“Last season, he was the first player in the five top leagues in Europe for ball recoveries. He showed why today.”
Ranieri's team are just one of three in the competition to have only lost one of their opening eight fixtures, while they also only trail Manchester City in terms of their free-scoring ability.
Up next for Leicester following the resume of the league in a fortnight's time is a trip to take on Ronald Koeman's Southampton, who are also high on spirits following their impressive 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge over the weekend.
