Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen has scored more free-kicks than any other player in the Premier League since making his debut in September 2013.
The Denmark international joined Spurs along with several other players in the summer of 2013, with the money spent on him recuperated in the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
That was a busy summer for the North Londoners and expectations were high, especially after performing so well the previous campaign and reaching a club record 72 Premier League points.
The new signings, however, failed to make the desired impact and it cost Andre Villas-Boas his job.
Of those that came in, the successful ones were small in number but Eriksen was an exception.
The former Ajax man has been a superb player at White Hart Lane over the past two years, and one special trait in particular has won Spurs a number of key points.
As per the table provided by Opta Stats, Erkisen has scored as many as six free-kicks during his time in North London – more than any other Premier League player over the past 24 months.
Against Swansea City, the talented dead-ball specialist completed the rare skill of netting two free-kicks in the same match, leaving Lukasz Fabianski in the Swans’ net with no chance.
Eriksen has a knack of scoring important goals for Spurs, and they were certainly indebted to him for rescuing a point at the Liberty Stadium in an entertaining affair.
Since joining the club, the 23-year-old as notched 19 Premier League goals in 63 appearances.
