Tottenham announce Mousa Dembele fit to face Swansea

The Belgian midfielder is in contention for a place at the Liberty Stadium, while Danny Rose is a doubt.

Tottenham have announced on their official website that midfielder Mousa Dembele is in contention to play a role in today’s Premier League clash with Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

The Belgium international has been unavailable in recent weeks due to a foot injury and has not featured for the North London side since the 0-0 draw against Everton at White Hart Lane.

However, the former Fulham man could well be included in Mauricio Pochettino’s matchday squad after passing a fitness test.

Just where Dembele would feature remains to be seen, as Eric Dier and Dele Alli have struck up an exciting central midfield role, while competition for the attacking roles is fierce.

Elsewhere, the club’s official website has admitted that Danny Rose is a doubt after picking up a hand injury against Monaco in the Europa League on Thursday night.

This means that Ben Davies is in line to face his former club, with the ex-Swan first-choice at left-back this term for the White Hart Lane side.

The quartet of Son Heung-min, Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb and Alex Pritchard all remain unavailable and will play no role in the clash with Garry Monk’s men today.
