Newcastle United’s miserable start to the season continued this weekend, as they went down 6-1 to Manchester City away from home in the Premier League.
Not many expected Newcastle to win at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon, but few could have predicted the way they collapsed.
The Magpies took an early lead against City, but they collapsed in the second half and conceded five goals after the break.
Argentina international striker Sergio Aguero was the star of the show for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, as he scored as many as five goals.
It was a miserable afternoon for Newcastle manager Steve McClaren, as the photos above and below show.
Newcastle are now at the foot of the Premier League table with just three points from eight matches.
With the international break now starting, the following two weeks will give McClaren plenty of time to think about his team and how to get things right.
