The centre-back had a game to forget against Hull City.
It was a tough result to take for the club, who actually performed well on the day.
Forest played well throughout but a goal from Abel Hernandez proved the difference in a game in which he also saw a penalty saved by Forest stopper Dorus De Vries.
Forest were not helped by a fairly poor performance from their central defender Matt Mills.
The defender gave away the penalty in the game and then got himself sent off in a self-centred and sloppy display.
Mills’ reaction to his red card was indeed interesting. Rather than venting his anger he in fact decided to laugh as he felt the decision was incorrect from the referee at the City Ground.
Of course Forest fans probably didn’t find it so funny.
Mills is one of Forest’s more reliable and experienced players so he needs to accept responsibility for his actions and hopefully in the dressing room his candour was slightly altered.
Here’s hoping he puts in a better performance in his next game.
