Sunderland fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the departure of Dick Advocaat.
The Dutchman was appointed the Sunderland boss in March and was entrusted with the task of preventing the team from getting relegated to the Championship.
The 68-year-old did his job perfectly and guided the Black Cats to Premier League safety.
Advocaat left the Stadium of Light after his heroics, only to be persuaded by Sunderland to return and sign a one-year contract.
However, the former Rangers boss has now left Sunderland for good, with the club confirming his decision in a statement on their official website on Sunday afternoon.
Following the announcement, Sunderland fans took to Twitter to have their say on the departure of Advocaat, with Michael Gray thanking him on the social networking site.
@SunderlandAFC What next?! We need some stability, not this merry-go-round of managers! Angry is an understatement!— Puddin (@Nerf_Herder1980) October 4, 2015

Huge respect to Dick Advocaat for not requesting any financial settlement to leave post. A true professional and a genuine good guy #SAFC— Raychel (@Shorty_rach08) October 4, 2015
Best wishes to Advocaat. Way too good for #safc it's going to be interesting to see who we get but I fully expect a cheap option— Chris (@chrissafc1983) October 4, 2015
