The Leeds United left-back has been in great form this season.
Leeds United were in action yesterday and found themselves on the wrong end of a 2-0 defeat against Birmingham city at Elland Road.
It was a poor performance from the team who are now 16th in the Championship table after 10 games and thoughts of promotion are now starting to slip from the mind of even the most ambitious of Leeds fans.
Leeds have a litany of young talents in the club. The likes of Lewis Cook, Alex Mowatt, Sam Byram and Charlie Taylor all spring to mind as players who will soon want to be playing Premier League football – either with Leeds or not.
Taylor was recently linked with a potential move to Manchester United in January, as cover for the injured Luke Shaw.
Now it is believed that there was indeed a Premier League scout in attendance for the game yesterday.
It was reported in BBC Radio Yorkshire’s match commentary that a scout from the top flight had come to get a close look at Taylor, although the team in question was not named.
The good news for Leeds fans? The scout could not have picked a worse, or better, weekend to come and see the talented full-back. Taylor had a stinker for Leeds yesterday, perhaps one of his worst ever performances since breaking into the Leeds first-team.
So hopefully this club will be put off.
