Walcott started the Premier League game between Arsenal and Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening and played for 75 minutes.
The England international failed to score for the Gunners, but he played an important role in the 3-0 victory over the Red Devils at the Emirates Stadium.
The former Southampton star provided the assist for Mesut Ozil’s goal in the seventh minute and was the architect of Alexis Sanchez’s goal on 19 minutes.
Former Tottenham midfielder Jenas was impressed with Walcott’s performance against United and said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Theo Walcott has been brilliant, he got two assist and made life difficult for the United back four, he deserves the standing ovation.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal had 38% of the possession, took 12 shots of which five were on target, and won three corners.
Arsenal are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 16 points from eight matches, just two points behind leaders Manchester City.
