The Manchester City star scored five goals in 20 minutes.
Yesterday saw Sergio Aguero smash in five goals in what was roughly around 20 minutes for Manchester City as they came from behind to beat Newcastle United 6-1 at The Etihad Stadium.
Admittedly it is not as impressive as Robert Lewandowski’s five in nine minutes but still, not bad.
It was a performance that had the Twittersphere in meltdown.
Aguero’s performance was all the more eye catching because up until then his season had been fairly mediocre. But suddenly he has shot up the scoring rankings and Manchester City fans have their star back again.
Plenty of former players were tweeting about his prowess in front of goal. Andy Cole, himself a former Manchester City striker, is no stranger to hitting the back of the net and either is Match of the Day presenter and former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker.
The two former pros both took to twitter yesterday to announce their admiration for the feat.
Aguero has scored 5 goals in less than 20 minutes. Absurdly good!— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) October 3, 2015
Manchester City fans will now be hoping that Aguero is back for good and can continue scoring goals the way he has.
