Kenny Jackett’s side got the better of Huddersfield 3-0 at home in the Championship on Saturday afternoon to revive their chances of a top-six finish.
Wolves took the lead at Molineux midway through the first half when Kevin McDonald found the target with a curling effort from 20 yards.
Former Arsenal prospect Afobe doubled Wolves’ advantage midway through the second half and wrapped up their scoring in the 88th minute.
Over the course the 90 minutes at Molineux, Wolves had 53% of the possession, took 14 shots of which eight were on target, and earned six corners.
Following the win, Afobe took to Twitter to revel in the success, with FC Ufa midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong - who played on loan for Wolves from Arsenal in 2012 - praising the 22-year-old striker on the social networking site.
Back to back 3-0 wins. Great team performance, pleased to get my 50th and 51st club career goals. Thanks everyone :-) pic.twitter.com/6Whq1qCNgw— Benik Afobé (@Afobe_) October 3, 2015
