West Ham fans react to Manuel Lanzini's Sunderland performance, demand permanent deal

Manuel Lanzini played an important part in West Ham's 2-2 draw at Sunderland.

West Ham United's unbeaten away record this season remains intact after a 2-2 draw away at Sunderland - but they had to work hard for their point.

Steven Fletcher put the Black Cats in front with a superb finish from Yann M'Vila's free kick, before Jeremain Lens lobbed Adrian to make it 2-0.

Carl Jenkinson pulled one back for West Ham before half time, and shortly after Lens had received a red card, Dimitri Payet swooped to make it 2-2, with Costel Pantilimon failing to deal with Manuel Lanzini's long range strike.

Argentine playmaker Lanzini had a real influence on the game, causing problems with his driving runs at the Sunderland defence and his ability to shoot from range.

It was one of those long shots that caused the second goal, and whilst some fans may be frustrated with how many shots he takes, Lanzini is always looking to make an impact in the final third.

After the game, West Ham fans took to Twitter to discuss Lanzini's performance, with many stating how impressed they were with his display.

Some suggest that West Ham must make the 23-year-old's loan deal from Al Jazira permanent this season, with the summer signing only contracted until next summer.

Here are some of the reactions from West Ham fans after Lanzini's performance against Sunderland this afternoon...
