The stat that Manchester United's Wayne Rooney will not want to see

It's safe to say Rooney has not been at his best of late, but Aguero has made him look like a right mug.

Before today, Manchester City's Sergio Aguero had scored just once in the Premier League – frustrating every fantasy football player in the country.

However, after City's rousing 6-1 comeback against struggling Newcastle United, the Argentina striker has now got six goals in eight games!

Yep, Aguero thumped in FIVE, yes FIVE goals against Steve McClaren's side who had managed to go ahead with an Aleksandar Mitrovic header after 18 minutes.

Aguero was able to get his side back into the game by scoring his five goals in just 20 minutes of football, almost giving Bayern Munich's striker Robert Lewandowski a run for his money.

While that is great news for Manchester City fans, we've found a stat that will not impress the Blues' neighbours so much, and it involves Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney.

Despite Rooney breaking England's goalscoring record, the 30-year-old has had a tougher time in the Premier League, in fact he's managed to score just five goals in 1477 minutes of league action!

Can Rooney catch Aguero up this season? We really don't think so!
