Nottingham Forest newbie Kyle Ebecilio happy with start to life in England, admits pace is killing him

The former Arsenal youngster joined from FC Twente on loan this summer.

Nottingham Forest may have been boxing with their hands tied behind their backs this summer in the transfer market but in the end they managed to so some fairly good business.

One player who arrived at the club was former Arsenal youngster Kyle Ebecilio.

The Dutchman arrived at Forest from FC Twente this summer after previously being linked with a move to Championship rivals QPR.

Despite his upbringing in the Arsenal youth system he admits that he is finding it tough to get used to the style of football in the United Kingdom.

He spoke to Voetbal Primeur about his time at Forest this week. Ebecilio stated:

"I'm really enjoying myself here. I can feel the confidence of the people and the coaches around me. The experience of football in England is beautiful to experience.

"I'm getting fitter and stronger. The training is very hard. This is different compared to the Netherlands. The pace is a killer here."

So far the 21-year-old has certainly struggled to come to terms with Championship football. He is still waiting to play 90 minutes for the club. However in his most recent performance he excelled against Birmingham City and some Forest fans would certainly like to see him in action again in the near future.
