Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Joey Barton’s performance for Burnley on Friday evening.

Barton started the Championship game between Rotherham United and Burnley at the New York Stadium and played for the entire 90 minutes.

The 33-year-old midfielder gave a good account of himself, as the Clarets won the match 2-1.

The former Newcastle United star took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 73%, created one chance, and made three interceptions and one clearance.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the New York Stadium, hosts Rotherham had 51% of the possession, took 15 shots of which just three were on target, and earned three corners.

Visiting Burnley had 49% of the possession, took 12 shots of which five were on target, and earned four corners.

Former Tottenham manager Redknapp, who worked with Barton at Queens Park Rangers, was impressed with the shift put in by Barton.
