Tottenham Hotspur youngster Grant Ward has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Rotherham United’s defeat to Burnley at home on Friday evening.
Ward, who joined Rotherham on loan from Premier League side Tottenham in the summer transfer window, started the Championship game at the New York Stadium and played for the entire 90 minutes.
The 20-year-old gave a good account of himself and scored a brilliant goal in the 75th minute, but it was not enough for the Millers to suffer a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Burnley at home.
The midfielder took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 89%, created one chance, put in five crosses, attempted one dribble, won 100% of his tackles, and made four interceptions and two blocks.
Following the match, Ward, who is rated highly at Tottenham, took to Twitter to give his reaction to the final result, with Rotherham fans responding to his message on the social networking site Twitter:
Shame about the result, deserved more out of the game but happy to grab first goal of the season and MOTM #rufc— Grant Ward (@GrantWard_) October 2, 2015
