West Ham United have had to deal with some injury troubles this season, including Enner Valencia. The Ecuadorean striker picked up a nasty knee problem earlier in the season and has been out of action since suffering the injury against Astra Giurgiu in the Europa League at the start of August.

In the wake of his injury there were many controversies. He told media in his homeland that he was not pleased with the way West Ham had treated him since his injury. He then came out to apologise about that statement and all is believed to be well.

However the striker is still on the treatment table and his international boss continues to bemoan his absence.

Gustavo Quinteros, the new Ecuador manager, has been speaking about Valencia this week – telling Pagina Siete:

"Enner Valencia is a player unlike any other and we will miss him, especially in the home game we will have against Bolivia."

West Ham on the other hand are proving they can handle themselves without the presence of Valencia. The club have thrived under new boss Slaven Bilic so far this season and are currently sitting pretty in third position in the Premier League table.

When Valencia returns from his injury problems - which should be soon considering his return to training - West Ham will be even stronger and The Hammers must be a feared outfit for any Premier League team.
