Paul Clement makes a frank confession about Derby County

Derby County are not in the top six of the Championship at the moment.

Derby County head coach Paul Clement has told the club’s official Twitter page that his side need to play better.

The Rams have recently come into good form, but the former Real Madrid assistant coach has admitted the need to play better.

Derby did not start the season well, but they have picked up momentum now and appear to be on course for a top-two finish in the Championship.

Clement’s side are ninth in the league table at the moment with 14 points from nine matches, just a point behind sixth-place Cardiff City.

The Rams picked up 10 points out of a possible 12 in September, and they will be determined to start the month of October with a victory.

Derby will take on Brentford at the iPro Stadium on Saturday, and they will head into the Championship game on the back of a 3-1 victory over Milton Keynes Dons away from home.
