Manuel Lanzini has told West Ham United's official website that many people do not realise how hard Dimitri Payet works in training.
Payet's effortless style makes it seem as if his ability comes naturally to him, but Lazini says that the Frenchman puts a huge amount of graft away from the spotlight to ready himself for the big occasion.
"A lot of people are talking about the impact of Dimitri Payet. He is a very important player but what people may not realise is how hard he works in training," he said.
"We’ve been getting on very well; he is one of the best players we have here and I am learning a lot from just watching him training. He can change a game in an instant and he creates so many chances."
Both Lanzini and Payet arrived at West Ham during the summer transfer window, and both have made a positive first impression.
The pair have gone straight into Slaven Bilic's starting line-up, with their natural flair in possession bringing an injection of creativity to the Hammers' attack.
West Ham have already scored 15 goals this season, leaving them as the Premier League's joint-top scorers, and Payet has attracted plenty of admiration for his performances.
The Frenchman naturally catches the eye during matches, and his game-altering capabilities have shone through at Upton Park.
Lanzini's addition has also been a brilliant bit of business. The Argentine youngster arrived as a relative unknown, but he is rapidly developing a reputation for himself and looks to have been a great find by the club.
