Much has been made this season of Chelsea’s current loan policy. The club has 34 players out at various clubs around the world, from Holland and France to Bosnia and Turkey.
But it is not just youngsters being sent out to craft their trade, but expensive signings who have not made the cut at the club.
The likes of Victor Moses and Marko Marin are currently away from the club – as is Colombian Juan Cuadrado.
Chelsea spent £23.3 million to bring the Colombian World Cup star to the club from Fiorentina in February, as reported by the BBC.
But in his time at Stamford Bridge he struggled for form and playing time.
This summer they sent him out to Juventus on loan with a view to a permanent move to the club – which has proved to be a big hit.
Cuadrado shone in the recent Champions League win against Sevilla and was also excellent against Manchester City.
With Chelsea struggling for form you have to wonder if the club made a big mistake not given the Colombian another try this campaign.
