Benik Afobe Tweets congratulations to Tottenham Hotspur's Dele Alli on England call-up

The former MK Dons team-mate was pleased for the Spurs talent.

Last season MK Dons shocked Manchester United in the Capital One Cup with a resounding 4-0 win. Two of the stars in that game were Dele Alli and Benik Afobe – both of whom have now moved on.

Afobe joined Wolves and has continued his free-scoring form at the Molineux. Alli of course went on to join up with Tottenham Hotspur in January, before spending the rest of the season back at Milton Keynes.

But after helping the club win promotion to the Championship Alli joined up with his new team and has taken no time to settle.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been in terrific form for the club, helping them pick up form after a difficult start to the season.

His performances have not gone unnoticed. Roy Hodgson has called him up to the England squad for upcoming fixtures with Estonia and Lithuania.

Afobe was one man personally delighted to see him get his opportunity. The Wolves striker, who is a former Arsenal youngster, congratulated Alli on his call-up through Twitter yesterday.

Here’s hoping it is the first of many for England as Alli looks to be a potential star for the future.
