West Ham United fans react on Twitter to Aaron Cresswell's latest England omission

West Ham United supporters have been left baffled by Roy Hodgson's decision to choose Southampton's Ryan Bertrand and Arsenal Kieran's Gibbs ahead of Aaron Cresswell.

West Ham United supporters have been left baffled by Aaron Cresswell's omission from the latest England squad to face Estonia and Lithuania.

Roy Hodgson named his Three Lions team for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers on Thursday afternoon - announced on the FA's official website - with Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs and Southampton's Ryan Bertrand getting the nod ahead of Cresswell.

The selection choices of Hodgson have frustrated Hammers supporters, who feel that Cresswell deserved a call-up.

Gibbs has been Arsenal's second-choice left-back for the entire season so far, while Bertrand has played just one Premier League game since returning from injury.

Cresswell, meanwhile, has impressed in a West Ham shirt for the second season running - and continues to be a mainstay in their side.

The 25-year-old already has 11 appearances under his belt this season campaign, and has starred in Slaven Bilic's side as they have made a promising start to the new campaign.

His good form has not been enough to earn him his first call-up to the national team, though, and many West Ham supporters have been left to ponder what else he has to do to catch Hodgson's eye.

Here is the best reaction from Hammers fans on social media site Twitter to Cresswell's omission.
