West Ham preparing to send promising full-back Stephen Hendrie out on loan

West Ham - Upton Park: Boleyn Ground

HITC Sport understands that the Hammers are looking to find a Football League side willing to offer the youngster game time.

West Ham United are looking for Scottish prospect Stephen Hendrie to gain first-team football out on loan, HITC Sport understands.

The Hammers beat a number of clubs to land the highly-rated 20-year-old from Hamilton Academical over the summer.

The East London outfit signed Hendrie with the future in mind and are hopeful he can soon put pressure on England prospect Aaron Cresswell.

Hendrie has been in and around the squad under Slaven Bilic, but he is yet to make his debut and the Premier League outfit are hopeful of finding a Championship or League One club for him.

HITC Sport understands that West Ham have fielded a number of enquiries for him and that he is likely to leave on loan in the coming weeks.

Hendrie was a regular during his time with Hamilton, making over 100 appearances for the club, so he will be eager to find game time somewhere in order to prevent his development from stagnating.
