Tottenham fan thrilled to meet squad in Monaco, snubs Fazio

One Tottenham fan's dream came true in Monaco, but he was not so pleased to see everybody

Tottenham are preparing for their Europa League clash with Monaco, flying out to the principality yesterday.

Spurs had offered fans the chance to fly out with the first team squad, as reported The Mirror, with several staying at the team hotel.

One lucky supporter recounted his trip via Twitter, describing it as the best day of his life.

Alex Kyricaou sent a series of messages via social media, updating fellow supporters on the experience of talking to his heroes.

He met Hugo Lloris, Christian Eriksen, Clinton N'Jie and Harry Kane among others, but he did not take up the chance to talk to Argentine defender Federico Fazio.

The centre-back was linked with a move to West Brom in the summer 12 months after joining the club, reported SkySports.

He made his first start last week in the loss to Arsenal, with his performance widely panned.

Mauricio Pochettino appears committed to making Fazio part of his squad, but the defender will need to improve his performances in order to better his reputation with the club's supporters.

Tottenham deserve credit for setting up such a trip and allowing their players to mix with fans, fortunately it came after a stunning 4-1 victory against Manchester City.
