The Swans will face Tottenham at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and former Liverpool star Owen believes that the Welsh outfit could pick up all three points.
“Tottenham did the double over Swansea last season and many will be expecting the same result after their 4-1 defeat of Man City at the weekend,” the former England international wrote on Colossusbets.com.
“But while Swansea have lost three of their last four games, they are unbeaten at home this season, and I fancy they could nick this 1-0, with 1-1 as a back-up.
“This may be predictable, but Tottenham do have the little distraction of having played in the Europa League at Monaco on Thursday night.”
Could Michael Owen’s prediction come true?
Tottenham have been playing well in recent weeks and find themselves sixth in the Premier League table at the moment.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are just a point behind fourth-place and North London rivals Arsenal and are very much in the running for a Champions League spot.
Swansea are not having a great season, but they are a strong team at home and will certainly fancy their chances of a win against Tottenham.
The Swans have some very good players, and manager Garry Monk will want his team to raise their game and defeat Tottenham.
