The 25-year-old is delighted to be back in the France fold and has posted the following the message on Twitter, which when translated from French reads: “A great pride to regain a place in the national team for the next two matches to prepare for Euro 2016.”

Sakho, who joined Liverpool from French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2013, has only recently regained his place in the Reds’ team.

The 25-year-old has played just twice in the Premier League campaign so far this campaign, creating one chance in the process.

The Frenchman has a pass accuracy of 91%, and has won six headers, one dribble and four tackles.
