Frank McAvennie and Willie Miller react to Efe Ambrose’s blunder

Celtic played out a 2-2 draw with Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

Willie Miller has strongly criticised Efe Ambrose’s performance for Celtic against Fenerbahce at home in the Europa League on BBC Scotland.

The Nigeria international defender played a huge role in the Bhoys’ disappointing 2-2 draw with the Turkish giants at Celtic Park on Thursday evening.

It was the 26-year-old’s mistake before the half-time interval which allowed Fernandao to score the first goal for Fenerbahce.

Celtic were 2-0 up at the time, and the Turkish outfit restored parity three minutes into the second half once again through Fernandao.

Former Aberdeen manager Miller was following the game, and he was disappointed with Ambrose’s performance.

"You've got to be better at the back,” the former Scotland international defender told BBC Scotland. “Efe Ambrose keeps making these mistakes. You keep asking when it's going to stop, IF it's going to stop.”

Former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie was also disappointed with Ambrose and posted the following messages on Twitter:

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Celtic Park, hosts Celtic had 52% of the possession, took 16 shots of which seven were on target, and earned seven corners.
