Monaco were quarter-finalists in last season's Champions League, but were knocked out of the qualifiers for the competition this time around by Valencia.

They have sold several key players in their run, including Manchester United new boy Anthony Martial, Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, Geoffrey Kondogbia, and released Dimitar Berbatov.

Tottenham are heading into the game on a high, having beaten Manchester City 4-1 at the weekend, rising to fifth place in the Premier League.

Monaco meanwhile are in ninth in Ligue 1, winning just three of eight league games in 2015/16.
