Carlos Sanchez has praised Aston Villa's supporters on the club's official website, stating that their loyal following really drives the players on.
The Claret and Blues' supporters have travelled in great numbers this season, and created vociferous atmospheres at Villa Park despite their side's poor start
And Sanchez says that knowing the supporters are still behind them is key, as they look to start turning their stuttering form around.
"They are absolutely vital to what we try and achieve here every single week," Sanchez said. "To know they are backing us and supporting us is huge. We are all together - players and fans."
Despite Sanchez's praise, there has understandably been murmurings of discontent within the Villa fan base of late.
Tim Sherwood's side are winless since the opening day of the season in the Premier League, and they currently lie in 18th place in the standings.
After a relegation battle in the 2014/15 campaign, there were hopes that this season could be a much more productive one, but a big improvement will be required to get them out of trouble.
That up-turn in form will need to come sooner rather than later, too, if Sanchez wants to keep the Villa fans onside, as a patience is starting to wear thin at the Midlands club.
