Aston Villa are set to loan out a number of their fringe players to Championship clubs, according to reports.
The quartet of players are all struggling for games at Villa Park, and Tim Sherwood has reportedly deemed them surplus to requirements.
Sherwood is focused on bringing his summer signings into Villa's first-team, and it seems that a number of the Claret and Blues' more experienced players could be culled from his current squad.
“If someone wants to take one of these players who are not going to play on a regular basis then I would have to decide whether it would be right for the club to let them go," Sherwood said, when asked about the potential for his fringe players leaving.
Villa are perfectly happy to allow Richardson, Cole, Senderos and N'Zogbia to leave on loan, but they would reportedly prefer them not to go to other teams in the Premier League.
Cole has, according to the Telegraph report, asked to leave on a temporary basis, due to his limited first-team opportunities, but Villa want him to go to a Championship club. At the moment, no second tier club have submitted an offer for the former England international.
Villa have made a poor start to the Premier League season, and could be looking to trim their wage bill in order to bring in more players in January, when the transfer window re-opens.
