Celtic face Fenerbahce away in their last game of the group stage, and Lustig does not want to run the risk of needing to pick up a point in Turkey to ensure their progress.
Fenerbahce's Sukru Saracoglu Stadium is renowned for being an intimidating place to go, with the atmosphere making it difficult for away sides to play their natural game.
And the Swedish defender said: "We’ve got to go to Turkey in the last game of the group so hopefully we’re already through, but it’s going to be a good experience playing out there.”
Celtic will have a sneak preview of what they will face on the final day of the group on Thursday night, as Fenerbahce visit Parkhead.
The Turkish giants have not made a particularly good start to their league campaign, but they do boast a squad which is packed with talent.
The likes of Robin van Persie, Nani and Raul Meireles are all on Fener's books, and they will be hoping to show their class against Celtic.
The Bhoys are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions, though, and will be keen to build on the impressive start they made in the Europa League, where they picked up a draw against Ajax on their travels.
