Gallery: Chelsea's stuttering start continues as Mourinho loses on Porto return

Chelsea suffered a blow in their bid to reach the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

After a promising upturn in form in recent weeks, it has come to something of a halt for Chelsea in their last two games, as they followed their 2-2 draw with Newcastle United with defeat in the Champions League to Porto - but it is by no means the end of the world. Having won their opening game they are still in a decent enough position to make it through to the knock-out stages of the competition.

In the early stages of the game, Chelsea looked pretty potent but just didn't find that opening goal despite creating a couple of good chances, and it was the home side who opened the scoring via Andre Andre, who fired home after Asmir Begovic saved from Yacine Brahimi.

It took a moment of quality from Willian just before half-time to level the game up as he continued his run of scoring crucial free-kicks for the side. There was no doubt as to whether the Brazilian meant to find the net this time as he left Iker Casillas stranded in the Porto goal.

The manner in which the visitors conceded the winning goal has evidently displeased Jose Mourinho when Maicon beat Begovic at his near post, and Chelsea could probably count themselves unlucky not to have got a point from the game after Diego Costa rattled the bar shortly afterwards.
