The new Tottenham Hotspur player is excited for their upcoming European clash.
Tottenham Hotspur forward Clinton N’Jie has been speaking prior to his side’s Europa League clash with AS Monaco on Thursday evening, with his comments later published on the club’s official Twitter account.
N’Jie signed for Tottenham from French club Lyon during the summer but an early injury means he has only featured for a total of 51 minutes to date.
Despite those brief moments on the pitch the 22-year-old has impressed, most notably in the 4-1 victory against Manchester City when he set up a goal having only just come off the bench.
He will be hoping for his first start when Tottenham travel to France this week and he has been looking ahead to that encounter.
“I’m looking forward to getting out there if I get the chance and I’ll continue to do my best for the club and fans.
“It’s going to be a good game tomorrow. They like to play football too so I’m looking forward to it.”
N’Jie played for the last 22 minutes against FK Qarabag earlier this month and if Tottenham can replicate that 3-1 result this time out they will be in a very good position to qualify for the knockout stages.
