Ben Davies has told Tottenham Hotspur's official website that his side have missed opportunities already this season.
Spurs have made an encouraging start to their Premier League season, and currently sit in sixth place in the top-flight table.
However, draws against Stoke City and Leicester City have frustrated Davies, as the defender believes that they were fixtures the Lilywhites should have taken three points from.
“Realistically, we could have more points when you look at the draws against Leicester and Stoke, when we were ahead in both games," Davies said. "We all felt we deserved something from [Manchester] United as well. There were opportunities there for us. We’ve responded well after those draws.”
Despite Davies' analysis, Tottenham will still feel relatively pleased with their opening to the campaign, especially after their win against Manchester City in their most recent outing.
Tottenham beat City 4-1 on Saturday, with the performance and result highlighting the quality that they have in their ranks.
Spurs have improved their squad over the summer, but Davies has fought off competition for his position and is looking to nail down a berth at left-back.
The 22-year-old played second fiddle to Danny Rose last season, but he has made eight appearances already this time around and is starting to establish himself as a key member of Mauricio Pochettino's starting line-up.
