The Tottenham youngster helped England to an 8-0 victory over San Marino.

England started their Under-17 European Championship qualifying campaign with an 8-0 victory over San Marino, and Tottenham youngster Samuel Shashoua took to Twitter after the game to show his delight at scoring twice.

Shashoua was one of the key performers for the Young Lions, netting two goals to help the team to their first three points, with an 8-0 win.

The Spurs youngster was making his fourth appearance for the Under-17 side, and his brace took his international record to three goals in four games.

Considered a bright prospect in the Spurs academy, Shashoua has been with the North London club for a number of years, and is naturally an attacking midfielder.

He played in this number 10 position for England today, and showed off his attacking skills with his brace, and has been making waves in Tottenham’s Under-18 set-up this season.

Shashoua was not the only Tottenham player to start for England today either, as he lined up alongside young teammate Jaden Brown. Brown is a left-back, who also played the full 90 minutes of the game, scoring the fourth goal of the tie from his defensive role - his first goal in England colours.

The immediate future looks bright for Spurs, and with the number of youngsters the North London club have impressing for international youth squads around the globe, the distant future also promises to be one of excitement for the Lilywhites.
