Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Alan Sugar said on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 1 on Saturday morning that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is the second best manager in Premier League history after Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson is regarded by many as the greatest manager in Premier League history, having guided Manchester United to the league title 13 times, the FA Cup on five occasions and the Champions League twice.
“Arsene Wenger, in my opinion, (is) the greatest manager in the Premier League after Sir Alex Ferguson,” said former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 1 on Saturday morning (September 26). “Arsene Wenger is one of the best managers going. There’s no question of it.”
Wenger has been in charge of Premier League outfit Arsenal since 1996 and has been key in the club establishing themselves as one of the biggest in the world.
The Frenchman has led the Gunners to the Premier League title thrice and to FA Cup triumph on six occasions.
Although Arsenal have not won the league title since 2004 and are virtually also-rans in the Champions League at the moment, Wenger remains one of the most respected football managers in the world.
