Ivan Toney, who made his debut for Chelsea on Saturday, played for the Newcastle United U21 side on Monday.

Ivan Toney has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at scoring for the Newcastle United Under-21 side on Monday afternoon.

The 19-year-old started the Barclays Under-21 Premier League game against Swansea City at Whitley Park and found the target in the 61st minute.

However, the Swans restored parity just four minutes later through Oliver McBurnie, who successfully converted a spot kick.

Toney was delighted to have helped the Newcastle U21 side draw with their Swansea counterparts and posted the following message on Twitter, with the club’s fans responding to him on the social networking site.

Toney joined Newcastle United from Northampton Town in the summer transfer window and made his debut against Chelsea at St. James’ Park on Saturday evening.

The teenager came on as a substitute for Aleksandar Mitrovic in the 85th minute, as the Magpies played out a 2-2 draw with the Blues in the Premier League encounter.
