Cellino says Rosler is the best manager for him and for Leeds United

The Italian has been talking about the current Leeds United manager.

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he is very happy with the job manager Uwe Rosler is doing at Elland Road.

Rosler has overseen 10 games since taking charge but only two of those have been victories, leaving Leeds in 14th place in the Championship.

While Rosler will have been hoping for better, Leeds have only actually lost two league games (and three in all competitions) and speaking to the YEP Cellino is pleased with the former Wigan Athletic boss’s early impact.

“This coach is the best person for me and for the team,” the Leeds owner said. “If someone gave me the chance to change, I would take this coach and these players because we have something good here.

“He needs help to relax a bit and to let the players relax, but believe me I’m going to let this work.”

That will be music to the ears of Leeds fans who saw a managerial merry-go-round last season that led to more downs than ups, but Rosler is saying the right things and the majority of the club’s supporters appear to feel he is the right man for the job.

Patience is often in short supply in football but if Cellino is true to his word and gives Rosler time, there is no telling how good this Leeds side could ultimately become.
