Tottenham bounced back from the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at White Hart Lane in the third round of the League Cup with a 4-1 triumph over City at the Etihad Stadium.
Spurs went behind at White Hart Lane after just 25 minutes when Kevin De Bruyne found the target, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side equalised through Eric Dier on the stroke of half time.
Second-half goals from Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane and Erik Lamela saw the North London outfit win the game 4-1.
Former Tottenham manager Ardiles was following the match, and he highlighted five positives from the victory on Twitter.
The former Argentina international midfielder has also claimed that Spurs star Hugo Lloris is the best goalkeeper in the Premier League.
