Tottenham Hotspur were excellent as they beat Manchester City 4-1 on Saturday.
Tottenham Hotspur underlined their top four credentials with a thumping 4-1 home win over Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
Kevin De Bruyne put City in front in the first half with a well taken finish when played in on goal, before Eric Dier smashed Spurs level on the stroke of half time with a drilled shot from long range.
Spurs came out for the second half reinvigorated, and Toby Alderweireld climbed highest to head home from a free kick, before Harry Kane grabbed his first goal of the season as he turned home the rebound after Christian Eriksen' free kick had rattled the crossbar.
Erik Lamela then put gloss on the victory by rounding compatriot Willy Caballero and turning the ball into the net, handing Spurs a surprisingly comfortable win over the Premier League title favourites.
After the game, Spurs players took to Twitter in order to celebrate their stunning performance, with goalscorers Dier, Alderweireld, Kane and Lamela all posting messages to supporters following the final whistle.
Other stars such as Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies, Alex Pritchard, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli also celebrated the win on Twitter, remarking on what a sensational performance Spurs had just produced against City.
