Rangers youngster Tom Lang has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate Kevin Mbabu on making his debut for Newcastle United on Saturday evening.
The 20-year-old defender started the Premier League game between Newcastle and Chelsea at St. James’ Park and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Lang, who is also a defender and is 18 years of age, is a Scotland youth international and joined Rangers from Birmingham City in the summer transfer window.
The teenager is delighted with the achievement of Mbabu, who played on loan for Scottish Championship side Rangers from Newcastle during the second half of last season.
Mbabu, who joined Newcastle from Servette in January 2013, gave a good account of himself against Chelsea.
The 20-year-old Switzerland Under-19 international had a pass accuracy of 62%, and won two headers and eight tackles.
Newcastle are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with just three points from seven matches.
