Report: Manchester United have three-man domestic shortlist for left-back position

Aaron Cresswell

Players from Charlton Athletic, Leeds United and West Ham United all feature.

Manchester United are said to be looking for a new left-back in January. Daley Blind has seemingly become a central option and Luke Shaw, their first-choice left-back, has suffered a serious leg break and is out of action until next year.

With that in mind they are said to be keeping tabs on a number of left-back options and today The Mirror reported the three names seemingly on their shortlist.

The report claims that Charlton Athletic’s Morgan Fox, Leeds United’s Charlie Taylor and West Ham United’s Aaron Cresswell are the three names involved.

The report claims that Fox is the new name on the list. The 22-year-old Welsh youth international has had a great start to the season at the London club and only signed a new deal at The Valley last April.

The interest in Taylor has been reported before. The Leeds wide-man is one of the many talents at Elland Road that the Championship club have no intent to sell.

Cresswell has been an impressive figure in the Premier League since arriving at West Ham from Ipswich Town and his experience of top-flight football might make him the more envied target for United.
