Rangers returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Greenock Morton away from home in the Scottish Championship on Sunday afternoon.
The Gers headed into the game at Cappielow Park on the back of a 3-1 defeat to St Johnstone at Ibrox in the third round of the Scottish League Cup.
Mark Warburton’s side were heavy favourites against Morton, and things went exactly according to plan.
Martyn Waghorn opened the scoring at Cappielow Park from the penalty spot after just 12 minutes and doubled the advantage 10 minutes later.
James Tavernier added a third in the 34th minute when he finished a fine counter-attacking move, and Waghorn shot high into the net to complete his hat-trick nine minutes from full time.
The win means that Rangers have maintained their 100% record in the Scottish Championship and have picked up 24 points from eight matches.
