Roberto Soldado and Jermaine Jenas react to Tottenham win

Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester City 4-1 at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Jermaine Jenas praised Tottenham Hotspur’s performance against Manchester City on Saturday afternoon on BBC Final Score.

Tottenham bounced back from the defeat to Arsenal at White Hart Lane in the third round of the League Cup in midweek with a 4-1 victory over City at home in the Premier League.

Spurs went behind to a goal from Kevin De Bruyne in the 25th minute, but they restored parity on the stroke of half time when Eric Dier found the target.

Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane and Erik Lamela scored in the second half, as Tottenham registered a 4-1 victory over Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jenas was impressed with the performance of the North London outfit and said on BBC Final Score: “Spurs showed real character today and they've all turned up, Harry Kane has got his goal and they've taken their chances. After the derby defeat midweek by Arsenal this is exactly what they needed.”

Roberto Soldado, who joined Spanish club Villarreal from Tottenham in the summer transfer window, was also following the match, and he was excited to see Lamela score.

The win against City will have come as a surprise to many Premier League observers, and it is certainly going to enhance the players’ confidence.

Tottenham’s main objective this season is to finish in the top four of the Premier League, and the victory over City suggests that they are on track to doing just that.
