West Ham will take on Norwich at the Boleyn Ground today, and former Liverpool star Owen has backed the London outfit to pick up all three points.
“It could be a case of ‘after the Lord Mayor’s show’ for both sides after their excellent away days at Manchester City and Liverpool respectively over the weekend,” the former Manchester United striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Slaven Bilic continues to work wonders at Upton Park and on home soil the Hammers will be hard to beat and warrant supporting at odds- against.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: West Ham to win at 6/5 with BetVictor.”
West Ham will head into the game at the Boleyn Ground against Norwich on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City away from home in the third round of the League Cup.
Prior to that defeat, Slaven Bilic’s side had won three Premier League games in a row: 3-0 against Liverpool at Anfield, 2-0 against Newcastle United at home, and 2-1 against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Gammers side are third in the league table at the moment with 12 points from six matches, just three points behind leaders City.
Meanwhile, Norwich currently find themselves 11th in the Premier League table with eight points from six matches, as many as five points above the relegation zone.
The Canaries will head into Saturday’s match on the back of a 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at home in the third round of the League Cup.
Norwich held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw away from home at Anfield in the Premier League last weekend, having defeated Bournemouth 3-1 at Carrow Road earlier this month.
